Automated Calculation of Grinding by a Cubic Carbon Nitride Wheel and Solid Lubricant, with Wheel Wear

Abstract

The influence of solid lubricant on the wear of Elbor (cubic carbon nitride) grinding wheels with ceramic binder of different hardness and granularity is considered, in the machining of high-speed steel. The dependence of the wear on the machining conditions is established. An automated system is proposed to control Elbor wheel consumption in production.
