Improvements in Turbine-Blade Manufacture

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A completely automated manufacturing technology for turbine blades is proposed. The system includes automatic loading and unloading of the workpiece; its automated orientation in the coordinate system of a multifunctional grinding center; and automated geometric monitoring of the components by means of a coordinate-measurement center. A robot system implementing this technology is described.
