Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

When the end section of helicopter screw blades made of polymer laminate based on glass–carbon fiber and reinforced by titanium foil is drilled, peeling is noted at the entrance to the hole. Such peeling is investigated in the present work. The influence of the cutting speed and supply on the extent of the peeling is established.
