Hardening of objects and the increase of their lifetime by the electrospark method: The object classification and the specific features of the technology

Abstract

A classification of objects being hardened by the electrospark method has been proposed on the basis of the analysis of the operation conditions and the prevailing wear of a wide range of tools and parts. The methodological and technological specific features of the treatment in order to increase their wear resistance and lifetime are described.
