Abstract

The gas-sensitivity of gelatin/Cu2S and gelatin/CdS samples under the effect of vapors of different solvents and ethyl alcohol has been investigated. It is shown that composites on the basis of polymers with Cu2S and CdS nanoparticles are sensitive to vapors of different solvents. The gas sensitivity of the nanocomposites depends on the rate of matrix filling and the chemical data of the testing gas. These materials could be used as a sensitive element in different gas sensors and detectors.
