Substantiation of requirements to selectivity of relay protection of ship power systems

Abstract

The conditions for the admissibility of nonselective operation of overcurrent protection are considered for the minimization of the total, direct, and indirect damage from short circuits in ship power systems. The game decision, i.e., the problem of introducing a selective setting for the operating time for the overcurrent protection of the feeder, is formulated.
