Abstract
Statistical data on damage of the stator insulation and operating conditions of high-voltage electrically driven gas-pumping units is analyzed. The most characteristic conditions for the occurrence of insulation breakdown and damage locations are revealed. A theoretical analysis and practical results of the quantitative evaluation of the most significant operational factors that affect the insulation resource are presented. Options to improve the reliability and efficiency of electrically driven gas-pumping units are proposed.
