Abstract

Features and engineering aspects associated with the development of variable-frequency electric drives are considered. The results of an investigation of their characteristics are presented. The electric drives are used in main circulation pumps that ensure the transportation of a liquid-metal coolant in a 25-MW nuclear power plant.
