Abstract

The paper presents data of two-year research of desiccation of early spring grain crops—wheat (Irgina cultivar), barley (Ecolog), and oats (Dens)—under various meteorological conditions different from long-term annual averages. The value of crop yield was proved to vary considerably during the year: from 2.59 to 4.20 tons/ha in 2012 and from 1.05 to 1.94 tons/ha in 2013. The use of desiccation by reglone super (aqueous solution) at grain humidity of 30% in a drought year had no effect on the crop yield; in a wet year, a substantial yield gain was obtained in barley and oats.
