Journal of Contemporary Physics (Armenian Academy of Sciences) Aims and scope

Abstract

The influence of the focusing system on the characteristics of radiation of free electron lasers (FEL) is investigated. The results of numerical simulations for European XFEL project are presented. The versions with standard periodic focusing and with natural undulator focusing are considered. A new system of central focusing with a minimum number of quadrupole lenses is proposed.
