Abstract
Corrugation instability of rarefaction shock waves (RSWs) is studied in the simple plasma model with London current. Filament generation in the plasma focus (PF) due to the RSW corrugation instability is considered. To achieve an optimum structure of filaments in the PF current sheath, it is proposed to use special metal inserts near an insulator.
