Abstract

An analytical review of recently proposed methods and devices for reducing the pressure loss of cyclone dust collectors is presented. A new design of a blade untwisting device, which decreases the power consumption of the most commonly used TsN-11 and TsN-15 cyclones by 27–29 and 25–27%, respectively, without worsening cleaning quality, is developed. A device with flow recirculation, the application of which results in an increase in cleaning efficiency by ∼15% with a decrease in the power consumption of the cyclone, is also proposed.
