Abstract
A dependence of elastic deformation on the load in the linear contact of hardened steel parts obtained on the basis of experimental data is presented. A method for calculating the load in a radial roller bearing at various clearances and numbers of rollers, as well as with various arrangements of the rollers relative to the external load vector is described. It is shown that, at a regulated radial clearance, almost no vibration in the bearing resulting from load redistribution during its rotation occurs; the vibration increases proportionally to the clearance caused by wear. Some possibilities of reducing the vibrations are discussed.
