Abstract
The issues of choosing technology for profiling electric-welded steel pipes with a triangular cross-section are considered. Modern methods for the production of steel profiled pipes and the principle for profiling triangular pipes are described, as well as the feasibility of profiling triangular pipes in three-roll gauges for several passes is determined. A technological diagram of the TESA 21-89 pipe electrowelding facility (PEWF) for the production of different profiles is presented. The fact that producing pipes with a triangular cross section is possible with the use of such equipment has been shown. Results for the further development of a methodology for calculating roll gauges and deformation modes when profiling a pipe with a round cross-section into a triangular one are presented.
