Evaluation of Metal Consumption for Designed Products of New-Type Seamless Hexagonal Pipes

Abstract

Problems that arise when performing the calculation of material-and-technical balances for the production of new-type pipe products, and the methods used in order to solve these problems, are considered. A literature review concerning this topic is presented. The development of a mathematical model for calculating the targeted characteristics of metal use in the manufacture of seamless cold-formed hexagonal pipes made of EP450-Sh and EP823-Sh grade steels is described.
