Abstract
Components of road-building machines operating under wet environment conditions, and defects characterized for them are discussed. It is shown that most defects for such machines are connected with corrosion. Traditional methods of the reconditioning of the defects are considered on the example of an excavator eye. It has been found out that the promising technique is an application of polymer composite materials.
