Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the development of technology for the production of medium-alloyed, with a silicon content of Si < 2.80% and aluminum content Al < 0.90%, cold-rolled high-permeability electrotechnical isotropic steel (EIS), supplied using the fully-process technology. The effect of non-metallic inclusions on the specific magnetic losses of finished steel has been studied. The influence of normalization annealing modes of hot-rolled steel on the texture of electrotechnical isotropic steel with an average aluminum content and metal microalloying with phosphorus and tin is considered. Complex alloying of steel with aluminum (Al < 0.90%), phosphorus (Р > 0.02%) and tin (Sn > 0.02%) improves the texture of the finished EIS and, as a result, significantly reduces the level of specific magnetic losses. The influence of the parameters of the microstructure of the annealed cold-rolled metal on the magnetic induction and magnetic permeability of the finished EIS is considered.
