Abstract
A technique for estimating the strength characteristics of work tools of a hammermill is proposed. Using the laws of mechanics of solids, analytical and finite element methods for determining the limiting stresses in the dangerous cross section, a technique for determining the strength safety factor is justified under the conditions of multicycle loading of hammers during milling of lump materials. Calculation and comparative analysis of the fatigue resistance of hammermill structures are performed. The need of using an updated hammer with a combined technique of setting on the axis of rotor suspension is justified.
