Abstract
Samples of a bimetal consisting of high-temperature ПХ20Ю6 powder steel and copper are produced by explosive welding and tested. Attention focuses on the contact zone of the welded materials, the local melting zones, and the nonequilibrium copper-ПХ20Ю6 steel solid solutions formed there. The production of ПХ20Ю6 steel-copper bimetals by explosive welding is intended for use in the manufacture of high-efficiency heat exchangers.
