Abstract
Methods of improving 12X1MΦ steel are considered, including electroslag remelting, vacuumarc remelting, microalloying, and the use of premium-grade pure batch (special pellets). The distinctive features of each method are described. These methods of producing steel with the required structure and purity permit increase in the long-term strength (by 15–20%), reliability, and performance of steel components.
