Abstract
A mathematical model of the reversible cold rolling of low-plasticity thin strip consisting of high-silicon steel (including high-quality anisotropic electrical steel) has been developed and industrially introduced. This approach, which is based on adaptable models of the contact forces with a minimum of simplifications, permits very accurate description of the rolling process, including the thermal dynamics of the strip in the line and in different passes through the rollers.
