Abstract
To improve the heat-transfer calculation in dense beds of metallurgical aggregates, the heat-transfer coefficient between the gas flux and pellets on heating is refined experimentally. Steady channel flow with Re = 100–1400 is observed in the bed. The heat-transfer coefficient is calculated, and the pellet temperature on heating is determined to within ±11.4°C.
