  • Published:
Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

The exploitation of gas fields in Russia’s Far North requires rolled strip for the production not only of major pipelines but also of connectors and gate valves. The rolled strip used in gate valves must meet specific strength and cold-strength requirements; in particular, the impact strength KCV−60 must be at least 25 J/cm2.
