Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

A model is proposed for assessing the efficiency of high-magnesia flux usage, in order to extend the life of oxide-carbon linings. The model results may be verified in casting ladles for converter steel and electrosteel. The model results are in satisfactory agreement with operational data for steel-casting ladles.
