Abstract

A new method of rolling railroad wheels has been introduced at OAO Nizhnetagil’skii Metallurgicheskii Kombinat. Theoretical and experimental research reveals the most important laws of metal flow. On that basis, rational rolling conditions are established, corresponding to wheels of great surface precision and purity.
