Continuous pipe rolling without a mandrel

Abstract

Compilation and refinement of the existing formulas permits the creation of a mathematical model, algorithm, and computer program for calculating the reduction parameters. On the basis of the finite-element method, an automated system for determining the change in shape of the pipe on rolling with no mandrel may be developed.
