Abstract
The history of rolling in Magnitogorsk between 1933 and 2008 is outlined. Information is provided regarding the 5000 mill now under construction and the current cold-rolling system. New designs permit the supply of domestically produced steel, in place of imports, to many branches of Russian industry.
