Briquetting of Fine Coal Raw Materials with Binders

Abstract

The results of experimental studies on the selection of binders for the briquetting of anthracite fines and coal slimes available in the Rostov oblast are presented. The effects of the particle-size distribution of coal components, the binder content, the moisture content of the charge, and the specific compacting pressure on the technical properties of fuel briquettes were studied. The proximate analysis data of an experimental batch of fuel briquettes are presented. The mechanism of strengthening and the formation of the structure and properties of fuel briquettes are considered.
