Abstract
The inconsistency of the maximum temperature achieved in combustion (α = 1) of gaseous fuels and fuel oil with the problem of qualitatively heating steel products was demonstrated. The reasonability and method for the production of artificial gas from coal with various fixed heats of combustion for steel heating and electricity production were substantiated. A design for the combined (gas and then induction) heating of products was presented.
