Abstract

The effect of the conditions of the thermal pretreatment of a cobalt catalyst based on zeolite β (Co/Hβ) on the synthesis of hydrocarbons from CO and H2 was studied. The physicochemical and catalytic properties of Co/Hβ samples were studied and the synthesis products were analyzed in order to determine the most favorable regime for the thermal treatment of this catalytic system. It was found that double calcination at 250°C was an optimum temperature regime. It is likely that a large amount of catalytic centers for polymerization was formed on the surface of the catalytic system under these conditions.
