Abstract
The problems of simulation of pumping groundwater wells with a constant hydraulic head on finite-difference flow models are discussed. Original algorithms for determining the well flow rate at confined, unconfined, and confined–unconfined model layers have been developed. Practical techniques have been tested on simulation models by using an analytical solution for flow toward a well with constant head in an infinite unconfined homogeneous aquifer.
