Summary and Conclusion

I hope this article has shown that modeling methods have made a unique contribution to our understanding of defect processes in silver halides. Our ability to model defect formation parameters and their variation with temperature is reaching a high level of precision. Greater difficulty is encountered in modeling migration processes. Progress can, however, be expected, given the development of improved procedures for treating quadrupolar deformability.
