Abstract
The advancing digital transformation leads to disruptive changes in the field of legal and tax consulting. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a central role in this context because it can support process innovations in knowledge-intensive and cognitively demanding service processes, as well. Although the area of legal and tax consulting, in general, is currently not a very intensely digitized domain, this article describes the potential of AI in this field using the example of a prototypically developed software application and illustrates innovative application scenarios in the context of AI-supported tax consulting. A discussion of potential upcoming changes for legal and tax consulting and the corresponding effects on working methods and forms of work conclude this article.
