Abstract.

We study the magnetic susceptibility of a conventional d.c. SQUID adopting a description based on the reduced two-junction interferometer model. In this context, considering the parameter β as a perturbation parameter, it is possible to derive an analytical expression for magnetic susceptibility with respect to the externally applied magnetic flux. Numerical simulations on the complete model has been carried out in order to confirm the analytical results.
