Quaternion-based algorithm of ground target tracking by aircraft

Abstract

The paper considers a problem of programmed tracking of ground targets by aircraft. Mathematical descriptions of various solutions to the problem are provided. Advantages of using quaternions in programmed tracking are discussed. Programmed tracking of ground targets is simulated for extreme cases.
