Chelates of Metals as Adhesion Promotors in Adhesive Compositions Based on Butadiene–Nitrile Rubber

Abstract

The influence of chelates—complex compounds of various metals and phenol–formaldehyde resins as adhesion promotors—on the properties of adhesive compositions based on butadiene-nitrile rubber is considered. When using them, the strength of fabric–fabric bonds is increased by 150–250% and that of rubber–rubber and rubber–fabric ones by 100%.
