Abstract

The possibility of obtaining powdered barium hexaferrite BaFe12O19 in melts of inorganic salts with the use of chlorides of barium and iron, BaCl2 and FeCl3, as reagents has been demonstrated. It has been established that conducting the reaction in potassium nitrate environment at 900°C leads to the formation of monophase BaFe12O19
