Synthesis and sorption properties of new fibrous nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing ion exchangers

Abstract

Polymer-analogous transformations of a Nitron fiber were studied. These transformations include its amination with ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, and tetraethylenetriamine, followed by phosphorylation with PCl3 under the Kabachnik-Fields reaction conditions. Nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing ion exchangers were examined as sorbents of heavy and nonferrous metals from aqueous solutions, and zinc ions from dilute solutions on the background of calcium ions.
