Solvothermal Syntheses, Crystal Structure, and Properties of Two Th(IV) Complexes Based on Diacylhydrazone Ligand

Abstract

Two Th(IV) complexes have been synthesized by a “one-pot” method. The complexes have been characterized by IR, NMR and mass spectra, elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Structural analysis indicates that Th(IV) in both complexes is twelve-coordinated. A one-dimensional infinite chain structure is formed in C1 via π–π stacking of benzene. According to TGA, the complexes are stable below 200°C. UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra of complexes have been recorded. Quantum chemical calculations of the complexes have been carried out.
