Choice of optimal conditions for the recovery of Fe(III) radionuclides from solutions

  • Published:
Radiochemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

Speciation of Fe(III) radionuclides in aqueous solutions was examined as applied to the choice of optimal conditions for their recovery. To attain the required level of radionuclide concentration in discharged waters, it is necessary to combine several treatment methods: sorption and membrane filtration, or sorption and centrifugation. The suggested procedures correspond to the occurrence of Fe(III) in solutions in micro- and macroconcentrations.
