Linear-to-circular polarization transformation

Abstract

Two simple polarization changers are described. Their operation is based on the difference of the phase velocities of two fundamental modes of a rectangular waveguide that have mutually perpendicular electric fields. The resonator variant of the changer is also a frequency filter.
