Abstract
Temperature-induced variations in the birefringence in nonlinear LiKB4O7 (LKBO) single crystals grown by the Czochralski method have been studied in a 100–350 K range. The temperature dependences of the birefringence reveal deviations from monotonic behavior in the vicinity of 140 and 230 K. The range of transparency of LKBO single crystals has been determined.
