Abstract
Calorimetric measurements of the temperature dependence of heat capacity in ice-containing disperse media based on various carbon-containing materials revealed pronounced manifestations of the phenomenon of ice premelting. An analysis of the correction to heat capacity related to this premelting allowed the energy of activation of fluctuation formation in ice, the temperature of the onset of premelting, the number of molecules involved in fluctuations, and the density of fluctuations to be evaluated. Processing of the experimental data in terms of the Frenken-Khait model revealed a two-dimensional character of fluctuations. It is established that the density of fluctuations decreases with increasing water content in the media studied. The relative fraction of molecules involved in the formation of fluctuations is evaluated.
