Abstract

An expression relating the pyroelectric coefficients of fluorographane-like quasi-two-dimensional supracrystals with the components of the tensors of piezoelectric constants and thermal expansion has been obtained. The thermal expansion coefficients of the supracrystals and their pyroelectric coefficients have been estimated using the Grüneisen law modified for the case of two-dimensional crystals. It has been shown that some fluorographane-like supracrystals should be more effective pyroelectrics as compared to triglycine sulfate. The results can be used for designing pyroelectric nanotransducers.
