Geotechnology of oil and gas deposit development

Abstract

In modern conditions not only exploration but also the development of mineral deposits needs serious scientific support. The specifics of geotechnology as a new independent area of science are described, the causes of this problem situation in gas production are explained, and solutions are proposed.

RAS Corresponding Member Oleg Mikhailovich Ermilov is deputy director general for research at the Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC and director of the Yamalo-Nenets Branch of the Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, RAS Siberian Branch. Aleksei Nikolaevich Laperdin, Dr. Sci. (Geol.-Mineral.), is an advisor of the director general of the Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC and head of a laboratory at the Yamalo-Nenets Branch of the Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, RAS Siberian Branch.
