Abstract

Problems, technologies, and applications associated with the branch of hydroacoustics indicated by the heading of this article were discussed in a paper presented at a RAS Presidium meeting. The author of the paper and participants in the subsequent discussion, the materials of which are also included, told the audience about the work in this field performed by RAS scientists.
