The Scope of Total Architecture
Abstract
The formation of the worldview and sociocultural concepts of science in different epochs is discussed, these concepts being reflected in the architecture of buildings designed for scientific purposes with account for cultural and functional requirements of the research organization. According to the author, the values and ideals of society are clearly expressed in architecture. The formation of the image of science is discussed as it developed as a sociocultural institution.
