Abstract

The radiocarbon method, which was developed more than 60 years ago and awarded the Nobel Prize, was initially used for dating archeological and geological objects, but soon the sphere of its application expanded substantially. The method has proved its universality and continues to be used successfully in science, engineering, medicine, and other fields of human activity.
