The Kyoto protocol and regional economic development

Abstract

Issues of a complex approach to the climate problem and the country’s economic development are considered with regard to the natural and socioeconomic characteristics of a specific region. The authors characterize the emissions of greenhouse gases at the Baikal natural site and prove the necessity to take into account climatic factors in medium-term and long-term regional development programs.
