Abstract
In Herald of the Russian Academy of Sciences, No. 4 (2008), a paper by A.N. Romashov was published, proposing the idea and model of an active medium that embraces all natural realia. This concept, in the opinion of the author, helps overcome contradictions between the two leading theories on the origin of life.
